Set in an idyllic countryside landscape near Granville and a multitude of magnificent Normandy beaches, Stéphane—an energetic man in his forties and a water sports enthusiast—welcomes you to his campground for a “truly Normandy” getaway.

O2 Camping was a sunny farmstead featuring a wooded area and a stream, planted with native tree species and surrounded by embankments and hedgerows. After completing technical and sales training, Stéphane pursued a career in industrial mechanics for nearly ten years, always harboring a desire to start his own business in the great outdoors and, who knows, maybe one day even work in shorts!

The History
of the campground

After much thought and an assessment of his skills, he decided to pursue a career in the outdoor lodging industry. Plans to purchase an existing campground were put on hold due to their very high prices and his desire to settle in the region.

In 2005, he fell in love with this beautifully situated plot of land in Longueville—just a few minutes from Granville and the Normandy coast—which was being sold by the heirs of a family of farmers. In 2008, he returned to school for a year to earn a bachelor’s degree in tourism with a concentration in outdoor hospitality management, in order to prepare for his ambitious project as thoroughly as possible.

Several years of hard work followed to obtain the necessary administrative permits and the approval of a bank willing to finance the project. Construction finally began in September 2015, and the campground opened on June 18, 2016.

Today, surrounded by his loved ones—his wife, his three children, his parents, and his in-laws—he continues to make his dream a reality and still has his head full of ideas for offering the most wonderful experiences to the vacationers who place their trust in him!

Peace and tranquility, even on a long Ascension Day weekend 1

We came here to recharge our batteries for the weekend. Even though it was a long weekend (Ascension Day), the campground was as peaceful as we love it to be.
The indoor pool is really ideal, especially in Normandy!
The space between the mobile homes and the size of the campsites are what give this campground its charm.
I highly recommend this campground, where serenity and relaxation reign.
