Christian Dior Museum in Granville:
Villa Les Rhumbs, Where Elegance Meets the English Channel
Museum
A museum worthy of the legend
Just a stone’s throw from the campground, Granville is home to one of Normandy’s most unique museums: the Christian Dior Museum , housed in the fashion designer’s childhood villa. Villa Les Rhumbs, perched on a promontory facing the sea, is not a museum like any other. It is a house that inspired everything—the spacious rooms, the gardens, the hollyhocks, and the gray light of the English Channel.
Christian Dior himself wrote that it was here, in this pink-and-white mansion, that it all began: luxury, femininity, and a love of beauty.

What to see at the
Villa Les Rhumbs?
Every summer, the museum dedicates a major thematic exhibition to the world of Dior: haute couture, perfumes, fashion photography, and the house’s archives. The permanent collections feature legendary dresses, original sketches, and rare documents tracing the origins of the Dior style.
Please note:

- Admission fee; reduced rate for children
- Guided tours are available by reservation
- Partial accessibility for people with disabilities
The garden at Villa Les Rhumbs is also worth a visit. Full of flowers, romantic, and perched high above the sea—it offers a breathtaking view of Mont-Saint-Michel Bay on a clear day.
The campground is ideally located
How do I get there
from the campground?
- By car: About 10 minutes from the campground
- By bike: a route suitable for experienced cyclists—the coastline is beautiful but hilly
- With the family: Allow 2 to 2.5 hours for a leisurely visit, including the exhibition and garden
Granville, nicknamed the “Monaco of the North,” has other surprises in store: the medieval Upper Town, the covered market, and crêpes at the harbor.
